The purpose of this course

Note: We have amended the course enrollment date, tweaked some of the functions and bonuses for this course to give you more space and opportunity for online learning and connection during the COVID-19 lock-down which starts in South Africa from midnight on 26 March 2020. How the course works

In order to receive your certificate and your CDP points from SACE you have to complete the course, do the self-assessment questions between the main parts and we encourage you to share your experiences in the comments section of some lectures. Post any questions you have while doing the course in the comments section and a facilitator will answer you.

Even though the course is offered over 5-weeks, you have lifetime access to the content and can take up to 3-months to complete the content and qualify for your certificate. The comments function in the course will remain open for 4 weeks after we formally close the course for enrollments. Thereafter, if you have any questions or comments you are welcome to join the Post Course Support Group - it is free to join - for ongoing questions, answers and sharing from participants and facilitators. Bonus for you

There are two Question-and-Answer (Q&A) style webinars available for you to attend. Attendance is not compulsory to receive your certificate or qualify for your CPD points. Both webinars are there to support you with this content and implementation in the class. They are times when you can bring your real-life experience and questions to Kate for guidance, advice and solutions. The webinars are hosted on zoom and the recordings are made available should you not be able to attend in person.

This course is designed to be practical and for you to have a learning experience whereby you gain a felt sense of the tools and skills I am sharing with you. The practical activities in each module are there to support you to engage with the material and have a felt experience of the tools in action.

Once you have a felt experience you will have knowledge of its value rather than simply a cognitive understanding. This makes it easier to implement in your classroom with your learners.
